Mad Hatter's Tea Party, 2018
Local residents worked with community artists to design and make imaginative 3-dimensional hats themed on local produce, goods and wares from the market. Residents were invited to wear their hats to a ‘sculptural’ tea party hosted by students from St Benedict’s Catholic School. Students served tea and cakes and performed music and poetry. The project designed by Louise Gridley promoted inter-generational dialogue and participation through the arts.
