Spiritually and culturally, masks ('barakoa') have a rich heritage in Tanzania. This influence can be seen in this series which uses a combination of slip decoration, raku and barrel firing techniques.  They are made from my studio in Elmswell, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
