I live in Suffolk where I work as an arts practitioner, educator and freelance community artist. I regularly exhibit in group shows and work closely within communities to engage people of different ages within the arts. I have been teaching for over 20 years and currently teach Visual Arts at Abbeygate Sixth From College in Bury St Edmunds. I am an accredited Arts Award Advisor for Trinity College, London and am part of the local CALSA team (Community Arts Leader in Schools and Academies). I practice and teach Ceramics from my studio Sugi Ceramics in Elmswell, Suffolk. I also run a weekly life drawing evening class for adults where I share my passion for recording the human form.

I am a formally trained artist with a First Class Honours degree. My initial specialism in Painting and Printmaking has, over the last decade, led me to the discipline of ceramics where I explore surface decoration and the interplay between 2D and 3D form. The nude form remains at the heart of my practice. My work celebrates the beauty of the female form which I try to convey with elegance and simplicity. 

I have a passion for recording the human form in all its guises. I find people, their forms, their stories, history and relationships fascinating. I relish the challenge of capturing ones’ inner spirit as well as their physical embodiment.
